On track action under beautiful spring skies was hot and heavy as 7th starting Max Blair took over the lead on the final lap of the Bonnell Auto Group RUSH Crate Late Model feature to pick up his first RUSH crate late model win of the season at the Eriez Speedway.

Mike Knight and Khole Wanzer brought the eighteen car Bonnell’s Auto Group RUSH Crate Late Model field to the green with Knight leading the first two laps before Robert Meacham clipped the retaining wall on the front straight, slowing the race the first time.  Dave Lyon came to second at six laps with seventh starting Max Blair to third when Hunter Hulley came to a halt at the pit entrance but got going after the yellow flew. 

Blair immediately came to second at green. Just a lap later defending class champion Kyle Zimmerman spun in turn one, collecting Wyatt Scott and Jacob Gunn in the process.

At lap eight Blair was challenging for the lead and was alongside Knight at nine complete but fell back behind a lap later. Lyon held third with Andy Boozel fourth and Wanzer back to fifth.  One lap past halfway Gunn again spun, again slowing the event.  Boozel was third at thirteen complete with Knight still leading Blair.  Meacham spun again at lap fourteen, his third caution of the race, sending him to the pit.

Knight, Blair, Boozel, Lyon, and week one winner Genco brought the race back to green.  Blair kept on Knight until finally getting by on the back straight and going on to the win.  As Blair slowed on the cool down lap Knight slammed him at the pit entrance.  Discipline action is pending for Knight.  The top five at the time of this writing is Blair, Knight, Boozel, Lyon, and Genco.
