With temperatures in the low nineties race fans filed into Eriez Speedway for Autograph Night combined with Kid’s Night. With bicycle give-a-ways and free teeshirts sponsored by Phantom Signs & Graphics as well as goodies given out by race teams, all kids had reasons to smile!

The action on the track was as hot as the weather with Rob Blair scoring his second Plyler Overhead Door Super Late Model win of the season.

The Plyler Overhead Door Super Late Models had an all Blair front row with Max starting from the pole and his father, Robbie, outside. At the end of one lap Robbie had a half length lead on Max with with Max a half length ahead at two. On lap three Robbie pulled ahead and had three lengths at the end of four then started pulling away.

At five complete Steve Kania, sporting a “Just Married” sign on his roof, retired to the pit. At ten complete Rob had a two length lead over Max with Greg Oakes holding a half length advantage on Chris Hackett for third and Bump Hedman fifth.

At twelve laps in, Max was closing on his Dad fast when he collided with a lapped car. At green Kania rejoined the field with Rob Blair now leading Hackett, Oakes, Darrell Bossard, and Chad Wright. Bossard, the defending champion, got to third at seventeen.

Rob Blair won over Hackett, Bossard, Oakes and Max Blair, who had come from the rear after his lap twelve incident.
