The final few laps of the Jay’s Auto Wrecking Super Late Model feature had the fans on their feet as Rob Blair caught race-long leader Greg Oakes on the final lap and used lapped traffic to eek out an extremely narrow victory, the fourth of the season for the defending champion.

Greg Oakes and John Lacki brought the Jay’s Auto Wrecking Super Late Model to Mark Matthews’ green flag with Lacki leading the first lap by a narrow margin over Oakes. At the end of two they were side by side at the line and remained that way through lap five when Lacki edged ahead, then even again at six.

Oakes was ahead at seven complete with Rob Blair challenging Lacki for the second spot at eight compete. After trying the low line to no avail, Blair switched to the high side and passed Lacki at twelve complete.

Blair then closed in on the leader and with three laps left, was right on his rear bumper. With two to go they entered lapped traffic then at the white flag Blair tried the outside and got ahead on the back side of the track and at the line with a lapped car in the center Blair was narrowly the winner.

The 2015 points champion, Darrell Bossard, was third with Lacki fourth, and Bump Hedman fifth. It was the two-time defending champion’s fourth win of the season. The entire feature went flag to flag with no cautions.
