Hammett, PA, (August 9, 2015): Max Blair continued his domination of Victory Lane at Eriez Speedway, winning both the Jay’s Auto Wrecking Super Late Model and the Bonnell Collision Center RUSH Crate Late Model features.

Last week’s winner Jason Genco and Max Blair brought the Bonnell Collision RUSH Crate Late Models to green but the red flag was shown when Dave Lyon got sideways in turn two, eventually involving six cars with Mike Lozowski flipping onto his roof. Chad Wright had the right rear tire go flat during the red flag period and pulled to the pit despite being told it was a red flag and he was not allowed to move. As a result he was disqualified. Lozowski was uninjured but the car was towed to the pit area.

When green again flew Blair shot to the lead in turn two and led until two laps complete when Khole Wanzer looped his mount in turn four. Chad Schauers was the next spinner, in turn two before a lap was completed. Wanzer was sent to the pit for rough driving for his part in the incident.

Blair continued to lead through to the checkers, gaining his fifth win of the season, including both RUSH Touring events. Genco held on for second until the white flag when Matt Latta took over the spot after getting by Mike Knight for third with three laps remaining. Defending champion Kyle Zimmerman was fifth.

Former champion Mike Knight and current points leader Darrell Bossard, both looking for their first win of the season, brought the Jay’s Auto Wrecking Super Late Model feature to green with Bossard leading laps one and two. On lap three Knight came around the leader on the top side in turn two and went on to open a lead over Bossard while Chad Wright and Max Blair fought over third with Blair gaining the advantage at lap six just as Bobby Rohrer spun and came to a halt in turn two with a problem in the rear of the car, needing towed from the rear with the left rear wheel and tire no longer attached.

At the green, Max Blair came by Bossard on the outside and set off after Knight, who had won his heat in convincing style. At halfway Blair was slightly ahead at the stripe but Knight stayed with him for another lap before falling to second.

Blair would lead the remaining distance to pick up his second win of the evening. Knight came across teh stripe in second, Bossard stayed in third with Chad Wright coming to fourth and John Volpe fifth at the finish.
