The Tenth Annual Stephanie Eckl Memorial was run under clear blue skies after rain washed out the scheduled event Saturday night. A stellar field of Super Late Models enterred the event with Greg Oakes, Rob Blair and Mike Knight winning the heat events. Blair then went on to lead every lap of the 30-lap feature to win the event, the first in the return of the United Late Model Series.

Rob Blair and Michael Oakes started the ULMS Stephanie Eckl Memorial from the front row with Blair taking the immediate lead and second row starter Darrell Bossard coming to second on the opening lap. By five laps in Blair was lapping back markers while three cars all numbered 22 were running second, third and fourth; Bossard, Oakes, and Bumpy Hedman.

Rick Tropodi looped his mount in turn two at lap nine just as the leaders were coming by causing all to scatter but no one making contact. After green the field only got to turn two before Kirk Bradley looped it in two. Three racers, including Kurt Stebbins, who had flipped his Super Late Model in the heat after taking the green flag, got tangled up in turn one on the next restart.

By thirteen laps into the event Blair had a ten car-length lead over Bossard, Hedman, Jason DuPont, and Chris Hackett when Bradly spun going into turn one. At halfway Greg Oakes came by Hackett for fifth then took over fourth from DuPont two laps later. With ten laps remaining Blair had a full straight lead over Bossard and was coming into lapped traffic once again.

Bossard started to close in while the leader negotiated traffic, but Blair won by half a straight. Hedman was third at the stripe with Greg Oakes fourth and DuPont fifth.
